How do I update the page of a workgroup? Christopher Brooks, 7 Jun 2007 Last updated: 7 Jun 2007
To update a workgroup, you must be a member of that workgroup.
If you are a member of the webmaster workgroup, then you can use Permission Overrides to give yourself temporary permission to update the workgroup in question. You can also use Permission Overrides to grant yourself membership (including admin access) to any group.
Workgroups have several different types of authoring
- When a group is first created, it has
Overview authoring. To edit the workgroup text,
you must be a an administrator of that group. You can then go to the
admin -> Group Profile page
and update the html text.
- Groups can also have CVS authoring enabled via
the
admin -> Configure Group choice. You can tell if a group has CVS authoring because
it will a CVS Update link at the bottom.
To update a CVS page, follow the instructions on the
How do I edit pages in a group with the "CVS Authoring" option?
- Some pages can also pull over their content from a
remote site. This option is not often used.
See My remote subsite doesn't work! Why?
