HSN : CITRIC
The Cal-ITRI-Camera (CITRIC) mote platform approaches computer vision problems and potentially other sensor applications through in-network processing of sensory data. Rather than sending the raw sensor data through the network for processing, the CITRIC mote processes the data and sends only key data elements through the network to a central server. The CITRIC platform design uses general purpose hardware and detachable daughter boards to enable its use in a broad range of sensor network applications. The platform consists of a embedded ARM CPU, large memory capacity, detachable camera board, and a detachable wireless radio. The operating system running on CITRIC is Linux and additionally, it uses the C/C++ programming language for application development.
