Education and Human Resource Development Plans and Objectives
One of the drivers of this STC is the view that concerns
regarding security must be consciously engineered into new and legacy
critical infrastructure systems, and that to do so requires a
rethinking of every component level of the system. To ensure that
these concerns are shared and addressed by the next generation of
computer scientists, engineers and social scientists, TRUST
researchers will incorporate their findings and methods wherever
possible into the standard curricula in these areas: operating
systems, programming languages and compilers, analysis of algorithms,
networking protocols, and databases. Thus, this project will result
in a broad curriculum reform of existing computer science and
engineering courses. We will develop a whole set of courses from the
lower division to the advanced graduate level as the research on TRUST
matures.
